Choosing a counsellor is a daunting task. Most of us use the same language to describe what we do and how we do it, making it even harder to decide. I have been there, and I learnt that choosing a few counsellors to have an initial meeting with, is a good place to start. This way, you get a flavour of how your work with that person will look like. I invite you to book a free exploratory session with me and decide afterwards if we are a good fit.
About me and my practice
I have in-depth training in Humanistic counselling - in other words, I respect your free will, work with your strengths, and aim to help you develop a healthy and solid sense of self.
In our sessions, you'll be exploring your feelings, your challenges, your patterns of behaviours, and the stories you tell yourself about who you are and why you struggle. Together, we'll work to define your goals for therapy (including the confusion around the idea of goals in therapy), and we'll decide when something is not working and needs adjusting.
I am flexible in my approach and believe each of us finds different ways of coping with adversity. Together, we discover which of those ways no longer serve you and aim to change them or create new ways representative of who you are today.
Experience
I have worked with various age groups (young people to older adults) and a diverse array of cultures, faiths, and challenges.
From supporting people to manage anxious states and feelings to coping with loss to managing weight, I have been alongside my clients throughout their difficult moments and when they celebrated wins.
I work with individuals and couples, I work collaboratively, and I respect your individuality.

Initial Consultation
I offer a free exploratory session of 30 minutes.
In our initial session, we'll get to know each other and explore if we are the right fit. We'll decide together if I can support you to reach your goals, and you'll be able to ask any questions you might have about how I work and what to expect from our sessions.
Fees
My fee is £50 per 50-minute session. Concessionary rates are available, so please ask.
